Founded in January 2023, Progressive Coaching 4 started as a small hobbie. Over time, we have have worked hard and we can now offer our services for parents and football players around Lincoln area
Progressive Coaching 4 wants to be known for our commitment to developing good football players – on and off the pitch. We will ensure the interest of the players come first. We will always act in the best interest of our players. We want to attract local players to our training sessions through our professionalism, success and reputation, our ambition is to be one of the best football training providers outside of the Football League.
Every single player is important for us, no matter what, we want to develop local players and provide a clear player pathway to achieve their dream within the football industry.
We want to create a positive, challenging and enjoyable learning environment which provides the player with the freedom to express and develop their natural ability.
We analyze the player’s performance against The FA Four Corner Model – Technical, Physical, Psychological and social. This model will help us break down the player’s performance to assess our players, highlighting their strengths and areas for development. We want to have the best coaches/volunteers and help them develop to be the best they can be, which in turn, will help our young players development.
We would love to see Progressive Coaching 4 creating and developing a Scouting network to be able to help our players to progress into the football industry, offer international training camps experiences to our players and ultimately provide scholarship and education programmes.
The benefits of sport sponsoring are wide-ranging and extensive but, at our level, this can be very fundamental, providing more opportunities to play by contributing towards building new facilities, new equipment, helping the community funding training sessions or even give the opportunity for players to travel to our international football camps.
It is a common misconception that sponsorship only fuels professional clubs’ focus on rising profits and potential signings. In reality, those that benefit most from effective sponsorship deals are often those within the community who have more access to sport due to increased funding, and academy and youth players who have improved training facilities and more professional coaching.

Being a football coach for children is not just about teaching the skills of football, but also about playing a crucial role in their personal development, building better footballers and more resilient young people through football coaching
Quite often we speak about how football can help children to make new friends and build new relationships with like-minded children. Being a football coach, and being surrounded by other coaches and other people passionate about sharing our knowledge to children and sharing the love of football is a great way of building and strengthening important relationships.
For myself and the children that I coach, football lessons are more than just learning skills but also encourage creativity, and believing in themselves.
Creating positive experiences through football lessons for children is one of the key reasons why I love what I do– to be a part of a team and experience new things each lesson!

"Coaching with Progressive Coaching 4 has provided me some very proud moments. Knowing Paulo, the other coaches and I can influence a child’s career in football in a such positive manner gives everyone a great sense of pride. Having seen some of the children come with no confidence to becoming loved members of not only Progressive Coaching 4 but also newly joined local football clubs.
It’s not just the children who develop with PC4 but also myself as coach and a person. I’ve learnt how to help children who might come to training having had a rough day but walked away from the session smiling and forgetting what had come before. Learning from the other coaches who have different ideas and techniques to sessions will only provide me with a broader range of knowledge I can apply when I am coaching. PC4 is the place to take your children for football coaching."
"I think it’s a good opportunity for young people who would like to have a role in football. Personally, the best thing about coaching is at the end of the session seeing the kids smiling and laughing and running to their parents saying that they could do it is what makes me want to keep coaching. Working with Ian and Paulo, who know a lot more than me is a great learning experience."
"Coaching with Paulo has been a good experience so far and has definitely shaped me in a positive way. While it’s not always an easy ride when coaching doesn’t quite go the right way it is certainly rewarding in the long run to see players improve not just as players but as people with more confidence and better social skills that will benefit them in the long term"
